DRWATSON POSTMORTUM REPORT: Unfortunately I am going through exactly the same thing I've attempted to go back into the System Restore feature under the Safe Mode (only way I can actually get to the control panel cuz regular access through Icon's doesn't work) and after trying several different back-dates, it continually says that it can't restore to that date. I have a DELL computer with Windows XP, I believe the service pac 2, and went into Microsoft to upgrade with any new fixes and programs. There is one on there that said top priority due to malicious activity so I was hopeful that it would do the trick. Once again, no go. I'm totally lost. I use my computer for a home business and am in a panic mode right now. PLEASE can someone help.
