I somehow lost/deleted my spoolsv.exe from my windows\system32 folder. I think what happened is it showed up on virus checker....anyways. I can't go back to a previous restore point because somehow I lost them all :tazz: . I tried using the repair function on the XP cd, but that did not fix the problem either. Any help would be greatly appreciated......

Update:

Apparantly the file is there, we figured out a way to try and copy a paste a "new" spoolsv.exe from another XP machine. When we did this it asked if we wanted to replace the file.....I have tried to manually start and stop the print spooler process, but it seems as though it is not starting/stopping it correctly as the spoolsv.exe never appears as a process running under the task manager. As background, this issue arose when I tried to print to a printer....that is the larger problem.

Thanks in advance,

Ed
