[b]I have a desktop PC with a AMDatholon 1700+ CPU & the computer is about 6 years old.The monitor is not even a year old. Below is the hardware installed in my computer . My question is would I be able to upgrade my PC with the following hardware? Or am I better off buying a new PC without the monitor? Also I would appreciate recommendations as where to buy one from a reputable place like DELL Gateway etc. I want to invest in a new PC but not sure if this is the right time &price wise is dual core CPUs expensive. I spend hours online entering sweepstakes .Alos I use it for research the computer & talking online using an internet telephony program called Skype.I'm connected via a cable mdoem 256 is the speed for $10.00 more I could increase it some. So I'm debating whether or not I'm better off upgrading my present PC with a dual core CPU I have never had build a PC before. But I do have books & a DVD about building a PC. I can always take it to a vendor who I bought iit from but the cost of labor I'm thinking it might not be worth the price.
