Hi, steered a friend to this site after he called me about having Spyaxe popups, and everything was fine until we got to the part where you restart in safe mode to start using the removal tools. The problem is he has XP and he, his wife, and kids log in seperately, and we downloaded the needed tools while logged in as him, and when we restarted in safe mode it wouldn't let him type his password to log in. What next? Do we have to log in as an adminstrator, and then get all the needed tools to remove spyaxe, so that we can go back in the same way in safe mode? Thanks in advance!

In a multi-boot machine, it is best to log into the admin account when starting the malware cleaning...it will also allow you to clean out the temp directories of each account.

In XP home, the admin password is blank, meaning, just hit enter
