how do i get rid of the small icon down in the right corner saying "your computer is infected"?
if i click it, they want me to buy "SpyAxe"...

I already tried using hijackthis, but it just doesn't help me... hijackthis-log is attached.
WHAT DO I DO?


i'll be really glad if someone could help me...

Run any adware like lavasoft...spybot etc. Here is a link from g2g that can help u in malware removal

Hope that helps, IN future, dont click on any click whose contents u dont trust....even though it says stuff like "Your computer at risk, blah blah..."

IF it is still present after following those instructions, post a hijackthis log in that forum

There should be a special place in Hades reserved for malware makers who infect you then try to sell you a pig in a poke to repair their infection

ALternatively, you can also try this

1. GO to task manager->processes-> look through the processes, and end the process of this malware(This will remove the running of malware for now)

2. go to control panel-> add and remove programs-> and see if that malware has installed itself, if so, uninstall it

This may remove the malware. In any case, DO run a full system scan using Lavasoft to fix other infections

but the icon down in the right corner, does not disappear.. how do i make it disappear?
