I got virtumondo on my comp and looking for how to get rid of it I found this forum :tazz:

Read through alot and tryed to setup Hijackthis.

One download I found - I couldn't download since mcaffe kept stopping it saying it was a worm infection :) (that was the one in the insturctions for first time here)

Found another one and downloaded it. But when I try to install it I get an error box saying

An error has occured while trying to rename a file in the destination directory:
MoveFail failed: code5
Access is denied

any idea why or how to fix it? :)

If you run through the stepd before you get to Hijack This, it may have cleared whatever therror with downloading it is, please continue to follow all the steps and post a topic in the malware forum to ask for help if you are still unable to install it

Please go here:

Malware Removal Guide

Run all the programmes as advised then post a current Hijack This Log in a new topic in the Malware Forum

For the purpose of accurate malware analysis, Hijack This Logs are only dealt with in the Malware Forum. Posting them anywhere else will result in a delayed response

If you are unable to run any of the programmes, ask for advice in the Malware Forum
