I would recommend using fire fox as the default xp browser. It is stable compared to ie. I just downloaded it and I would take it over ie any day.

Well, I use both.

Firefox has the advantage of added security, hard-coded pop-up blocker...

But IE 6, on an XP sp2 installation is just as good with the popup blocker.

I use firefox only when i'm headed to sites with known viral/spyware presence.
