Hi,

Thank you in advance to anyone who is able to help me. I am having a problem with a "MorwillSearch.com" page coming up every time I click a link that I've googled. I'm not very computer savvy, so I really appreciate your site's detailed instructions on what to download and run to help get rid of malware. Unfortunately, nothing I've tried to download and run so far has worked to get rid of this annoying and offensive MorwillSearch.

Don't worry sometimes the Hijack fixes dont take when running the vundofix. Thats a good thing that panda only detected that one line, it is a harmless leftover registry entry

Ok lets fix it manually then

Disable Spybot Search and destroy by right clicking the icon in the system tray and choosing exit. It will enable again on reboot

Launch Notepad, and copy/paste everything in the codebox below into the new document, including the word REGEDIT4. Go up to "File Save As" and click the drop-down box to change the "Save As Type" to "All Files" and save it to your desktop as fixme.reg.

Locate fixme.reg on your Desktop and double-click on it. You will receive a prompt similar to: "Do you wish to merge the information into the registry?". Answer Yes and wait for a message to appear similar to Merged Successfully.

Reboot your computer.

Finally, run HijackThis, click SCAN, produce a LOG and POST it in this thread for review.

Thanks for your quick response. Sorry for the elementary question, but is my system tray the blue Start bar, or over in the corner by my time, day, and date??? The spybot icon is in the blue start bar only, and when I right click the icon, I don't have an option to "exit," just "open" in bold, among other things. I didn't do anything in reference to the Spybot, but I went ahead with your other instructions, and here is the new HijackThis Log. Also, just to let you know, my original problem with the Morwill.Search is gone, much to my great relief, and I can't thank you enough. Thank you for helping me with all of this:

• SpywareBlaster - Great prevention tool to keep nasties from installing on your system.
  
• SpywareGuard - Works as a Spyware "Shield" to protect your computer from getting malware in the first place.
  
• IE-SpyAd - puts over 5000 sites in your restricted zone so you'll be protected when you visit innocent-looking sites that aren't actually innocent at all.
  
• CleanUP! - Cleans temporary files from IE and Windows, empties the recycle bin and more. Great tool to help speed up your computer and knock out those nasties that like to reside in the temp folders.
  
• Windows Updates - It is very important to make sure that both Internet Explorer and Windows are kept current with the latest critical security patches from Microsoft. To do this just start Internet Explorer and select Tools > Windows Update, and follow the online instructions from there.
