After running AVG free I've leared that I have 3 worms and
2 trojans. My system is generally running badly, and there is
lots of junk on my drive.

Does it seem reasonable to format?
Will a format completely destroy all of the viruses on my system?

Once I've formatted, I'm planning on running the free Zone alarm,
AVG free, and Ad-Aware.

Does this plan make sense? or are there other suggestions?

Thank you,

Section 1,

You rarely need to reformat due to malware

Please visit our malware forum where a malware expert will fix you right up after you follow the instructions on top of the forum

gerry:

When is a good time to format (if ever)?
Why do people discuss formatting so often?
The reason I ask is that I wonder about all of the junk that is leftover
from installs etc. I could kill two birds with one stone by formatting.
