You missed one:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [that safe] C:\PROGRA~1\PlusTray\Ping Poke.exe

And then that should take care of this (fix this one too):

R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://amazingautoss...://www.cnn.com/

Reboot, and post a new log <_<.

Try running cwshredder in safe mode. I'll tell admin about this, and he'll figure it out.

First preference would be to restart in Safe Mode, fix C:\Program Files\PlusTray\Ping Poke.exe using Hijack This, and then delete the directory. Sometimes Safe Mode will appear to hang when it actually just takes much longer to load. Try leaving it for a while and see what happens.

If safe mode refuses to cooperate, try this method. Click Here to download TheKillbox. Extract TheKillBox.exe from the zip file and double click it to open it up. In the 'Enter Full Path and Filename to Delete' box, copy and paste these entries one by one, clicking 'Find and Kill This File' after each one:

C:\Program Files\PlusTray\Ping Poke.exe

Click 'Exit' when done.

Note: If you receive a message such as: "Component 'MsComCtl.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid." when trying to run TheKillbox, download and run: http://www.javacools...ngfilesetup.exe. Then try TheKillbox again.

Restart and post a new log. <_<

I ran TheKillbox and it seemed to get rid of amazing autosearch.

Since my computer has been infected with amazing autosearch, , I am not able to restore my computer to an earlier date when I try to use system restore. I get the following message "your computer cannot be restored to this date.

Has any one else had this problem when trying a system restore? I don't know if I should be asking this in another forum.

Thank you so much for your help! Here is my log from HiJackThis. I hope my system is finally clean.

after about a week of trial and error i finally found the amazing autosearch pain in the butt passthrough. my virus scanner lead me to a virus called swizzer or something like that which led me to a folder called 1 jugs something or other that contained a file called bin way.exe, after trying adware hijack this and spybot search and destroy with my virus scanner and deleting all registry keys, i ended booting my computer in safe mode then deleted the file and all programs it contained, then i ran adware and spybot, hijack this and then found all registry keys for amazingautosearch and jugs and got rid of them, also check the favorites and delete that links folder that has popped up there and all other folders that take you to a search site. since then i have not had another problem. I hope this help all those who have been completely annoyed by this [bleep] thing. good luck!

OK, thanks for all the good info. I'll get rid of the @#@#%#$^ amazingautosearch.
But, I'm going after them. How can I find out who they are and where they are?
