I have one of the graphics cards that just makes the application I believe...and when I first clicked the single player and it was sketchy and skipping and bad play I figure oh ok the card isn't up to it, but multiplayer is much much better...it plays fine for the most part...a bit slow moving when scoping with something moving in the frame but that's ok with me...it works otherwise...why would the multiplayer work but not single player?

Hello rollup!

What are your system specs?
Have you tried lowering the graphics settings in COD?
Have you updated all your hardware drivers?

Try turning down the settings a bit for SP, on MP your computer doesnt have to use the cpu for enemy AI so it can use it for helping out the gfx card, in SP it has all the scripted effects as well as all the AI so it is under a bit more pressure.

You can update your graphics card drivers from the Nvidia website.

As for changing video options go into the options menu on the games main menu.
Turn off anti-aliasing, lower the bodies setting, lower the resolution and turn of antiscopic filtering.

I downloaded the drivers...I hope they were the correct ones...and I set almost everything I could down to the lowest...first starting with only the 4 you gave me and then moving on from their...didn't work...do you think my card just isn't strong enough for the single Player?

Also try turning off dynamic lights, shadows and soften smoke edges.

Go into texture settings and set the quality to manual. Then turn the texture resolution, the normal map resolution and the specular map resolution to low.

If it starts work better experiment with the settings until you get a good trade off between speed and quality.

Is this original CoD or CoD2, if its CoD2 then try setting it on DX7 mode, if its the orignal CoD bit of a puzzler because it should be running half decent even on such a slow system.
