Hey all, I'm in support and send a ton of regular emails as canned messages that I have saved in a folder. I simply find the message that I want, click forward, edit the names and personalize, and send.

When I edit the text, it inserts a space before and after everything I type and it's really annoying. I have searched and searched for a way to disable the automatic insert of these spaces, but have yet to find an answer.

My question is (obviously), is there a way to disable automatically inserting a space before and after the text that I insert into a forwarded message? Either by some setting within Outlook 2003, or some reg hack?

do you mean...like it put's extra lines under your block of text...such as a new paragraph...or if you typed "hey bob this is for you" into a block of text that was already there...there would be extra spaces on the same line

if I had a message that says:
"here are instructions for installing this software"
and I forward it and edit it to specify the software, it would look like this:
"here are instructions for installing    FYI   software"
note the extra spaces before and after"FYI".

i don't actually see any extra spaces...probaly my fault

this may be helfpul...since you're basically sending out form letters

it's how to make an email template...that way you're kind of assured of having the exact same format for each mail

Hmmm...tried that and it's going to be way more trouble than it's worth.
If I could just find this little thing and get rid of it, then I would be golden.

Have you tried what I was talking about in O2K3?
