my problem is that my computer crash..(its a lapttop compaq presario 900) i have the windows xp cd and all it needs is to repair a single file ..the problem is that my cd rom is broken and i have no way to read the xp cd and repair the file...i tried using a USB cd rom to read it but i was unsucessful....if anyone has any suggestions or ideas that could be helpfull please reply.

thank you for the welcome and no ,im not able..i tried going into safe mode but its one of the system files that has been corrupted so windows cant start with it.
