really quick if someone has input (thanx in advance)

I am repairing a Toshiba Tecra 8100 and need to replace the dard drive

it's a ata4 2/3/4/5

i want to replace it with a ata6 - i know i wont get any more performance than the 4 but I believe it should be backwards compatible

I have known various older models to not recognize a 6 and some do

a 20g "tecra8100 compatible" will run me $149 and an ata6 20g around $60, obviusly I would prefer to only spend $60

Any input would be appreciated and I'm off to CES this morning!!! yay
