Yes I remember the original Blood, it used Ken Silverman's Build engine.

Dungeon Master for the Atari ST has to go on the list as well!

I loved blood, more because i wasnt allowed to play it than anything else, bugged the [bleep] out my dad that he didnt know how to delete it, hes got a thing about games and movies with unnecesary violence.

Blood was one of my favourite games, although we tend to remeber all these games a little nostalgically better than they actually are, i spoiled doom by playing it again last year, and we forget all the work it took to get some games going. Like the x-wing game, amazing game but it took me so long to get it going that i didnt have time left to play it.

I think we should also put the dungeon crawler RPG Stone Keep by Interplay on the list.

I never got why halo was thought to be so good, i played it and it wasnt the worst FPS game i played but it was nothing special a bit bland really not much to the story i never felt engrossed like i was with HL2 or the original HL or even farcry and its storyline was never thought to be any good, even quake 4 had a more interesting story simply because of its lack of details.

The gameplay wasnt as smooth either it wasnt intuitive like some are where you move naturally like the computer is an extension of yourself halo just lacked the polish i think that would need it to be half decent.

I wasted half my childhood playing tetris so that would be a good addition to the list of best games.

You know what, f.e.a.r is actually a good game and the multiplayer is actually pretty good. I dont say that for much newer games. Im into games like soldier of fortune 2 but I rarely play it anymore.

Im not fond of hl2 dm but single player hl2 is good.
