You want a serious sound system??

I know that the logitech z5500 505 watts rms (1010 watts peak) is plenty for a large master bedroom or living room. It has a built in amp into the subwoofer box enclosure with a 10" subwoofer.

That is what I would get, I wouldnt get the other type of surround sound system that you have to buy everything separate like the amplifier, speakers, subwoofer(s), wires etc..

The z5500 is around $215 at newgg it is powerful, I have one the bass is loud and deep.

Yeah, or if you are really that skint than you could get what all us other student wasters have for sound, £25 liddl 5.1 speaker set, its surprisingly good for 25 squid.
