I am unable to type a website in my address bar such as.. www.yahoo.com. It will eventually go to the website, but it usually takes 5 minutes. However, I can type http://www.yahoo.com or type "yahoo" and hold CTRL + enter, and it will work, but it won't work the traditional way of just typing www.yahoo.com. I've checked for viruses and spyware, and it's clean. Does anyone have any suggestions??

What browser are you using? If it's IE6, try repairing it: http://www.geekstogo...er-60-t251.html

and have you tried other browsers to see if the problem persists?

yes it's IE6, and it works with Mozilla Firefox with no problem, but it's my parents computer. They want to use IE. If I do the repair, will it delete their favorites??
