Hi i am after some opinions on video cards and cpu's..

first of all i am looking at making a new pc and i want to go for an AMD cpu which would be better??

ATHLON 64 3500+ 939 OR ATHLON 64 3800+ DUAL CORE

and on video cards which is better the nvidia 7800gt or the RADEON X850 XT Platinum
which MOBO would suit these parts?

CPU wise in terms of single core performance the 3500+ is faster but the 3800+ is dual core and will offer better future proofing and its single core speed is more than adequate.

The 7800GT is of the generation after the x850 so its faster. Mobo any of the nforce4s from abit or MSI, or any of the ati200s from saphire, MSI or DFI would be suitable choices.
