no wireless after XP reload

recently reloaded XP. no wireless capability now. No wireless card icon in taskbar.harware manager indicates card is fine???

uninstall wireless card, reboot. let windows redetect.

Did the wireless card (which you did not name--seriously, people who ask for help should supply as much detail as possible. ) come with it's own wireless utility? Windows has Wireless Zero Configuration utility, but it can conflict with theone provided with your card.
