Missing Multimedia audio controller

:tazz: Hi - first time user. Im missing Multimedia Audio Controller, after I deleted a number of children's games off my computer. Tried to uninstall under device mgr and restarted. Still won't work. Cannot get sound on computer.

Can anyone help?

Hi,
Have you tried doing a system restore ???
Try setting the date for a restore before the childrens games were installed.

I did - but system restore doesn't appear to have enough memory to work...?
I wasn't given any bold dates to restore..

Can you not just pick a date (without bold) and try the restore ??
Use the " create a restore point " icon.
Have a go and see if that works, if not, we could be
looking at using your xp disc to do a repair.

cannot choose date without bold...
Will look for restore disk.

Try reinstalling he dvice drivers.

I used the driver disk (didn't know I had this one) and that solved the problem.
