acessing older documents

I had my windows xp login protected by password, but recently I had to re-install windows, and now I need to access the old user folder, in "documents and settings", but I can't, it says the access is denied.

Hello Totti.R...

You'll need to Take Ownership of the files before they can be moved to the new account.
