Hi i have a Asus P4C800 Deluxe Motherboard with a 3 ghz HT intel processor and im looking to upgrade to a better chip. i was wondering is there a certain socket type of processor needed to be used ?? or what?

Hi and welcome to Geeks to Go. I suggest looking at the ownwers manual that came with the motherboard, or going to Azus's web page for this information.
