I recently started having trouble with my cd rom drive, today is sunday, it was working perfectly on friday, but today when i tried to play a pc game, i kept getting this insert the correct disk message, i thought it was the game, but then i tried to play an audio cd and it would not read it either. HOpefully someone here can help me resolve this problem, i will b ever grateful.
I'm not sure what info u need for this, so um just let me know so i can inform you.

Chances are the laser has been unaligned, this is one of the most common problems with cd-drives. You'll probably either need to get it repaired or buy a new one, also check the data cable in the back as if it has come loose it could be causing problems (not sure about that one though)

what data cable exactly?, although my guess is i need to get a new one.
