its plugged from PC to the LAN port of Router, ders 4 ports so i put in number 1 on router...
There are 4 ports and a number is meant to light up which 1 its connected to but it aint grrrrr

the adsl modem has an ethernet port right?
what happens when you plug the ethernet cable from the modem to the computer? does it show as connected?

The ADSL Link Light comes on yer when the DSL cable is connected to the Router

well...what i want to know is if you can connect the computer directly to the modem via the ethernet cable (let's leave this pesky router out of the mix for a second)
i want to know...if you can connect this way...and if you can....does the ethernet adapter show as "media disconnected" or if it comes up as connected
