I have the little M$ update icon in the system tray telling me that an update is ready and click to install. I've clicked it 100 times (it says it's a cumulative update for IE). The install runs, completes and then the icon pops back up with the same message. EXACTLY.
How do I get rid of the little bugger?

The ever perplexed,

This is KB867801. What I've tried:
1) Downloading the update from M$ and installing from there. It tells me that IE needs service pack 1 (it has it)
2) Looking in add/remove programs to uninstall this update and let it reinstall. It doesn't exist.
3) SCREAMING really loud. It made me feel better, but didn't fix the issue :tazz:

The little bugger (automagic update icon) is still in the system tray telling me that the update is ready to install. Obviously something, somewhere is stopping it.

Any and all help appreciated.
