Hi, my computer monitor is a SVGA about 4 years old. Lately when I turn it on the screen isn't the normal colour it should be. The text looks purple/pink and the colours have a pinkish tinge. There is also some lime green fine stripes that go across the screen. Is the monitor on its way out or can I do something to fix it myself? After a while the screen wil suddenly come right, but then the unusual colours can come back again.

thanks for your reply. I've checked the settings and they are where they should be, I've never changed them since I had the computer, so I suppose I'll be looking around for a new monitor now! thanks again.
