For the last month I have been unable to access my CD-RW

& my CD-ROM as neither are visible in the my computer folder on my pc. I have tried to examine both of the drivers in Device Manager but they are covered by: a black exclamation point (!) on a yellow field.

I do not know how to get both of the drives to work again.

Hello purplefusion...

Try this first...Go to the Device Manager, right click on the cd-rom device and choose "Uninstall". Accept the deletion and reboot your machine. Upon restarting, Windows will detect and reinstall the device automatically.

As a side note...we are seeing more and more issues involving cd drives either not being detected by the computer or the drive not detecting the media. Some of these issues are proving to be difficult to resolve, but we are working hard to find a solution. If the suggestion above does not resolve the issue, please let us know.
