errors 00161 and 00163 on ibm laptop

when i turn on my laptop i get a black screen with 130496 kb ok and 00161 and 00163 on it i looked up on the last 2 error messages and found out it was to do with the cmos battery. i have since replaced the battery but it hasn't made a difference. my laptop is an ibm running windows 2000. please can someone help as i have my all my college work in there :tazz:
