All audio cd's play alright in all media players and drives. Dvd movies all really bad. audio and video are real choppy and starting and hesitating right from the start. In windows media player I opened a movie preview and the sound was ok but the video was real choppy. On web opened kids noggin site for kids music video and the sound was ok but the video was choppy, quicktime the sound was ok and the video was better but not good. I put dvd burner itself in another computer and it worked fine That computer had 98se less memory, less memory on video card. Dma is turned on for all. Virtual memory is set to computer manage, all other performances are set to let computer manage. Downloaded codec checker (sherlock) and it found one broken audio codec, but I don't think that that would be the problem. It was ACELP.net version 3.02 I ran trial version of tuneup 2006. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance os is xp Donr53
