I have captured some video from my camcorder and am trying to burn it to DVD using MyDVD. The process is painfully slow. It takes about 3 seconds to encode for every 1 second of video. Does this sound right?

encoding video is VERY CPU and Memory intense...and burning to the dvd to....not terribly surprised.

What kind of CPU?
How much RAM...

Is the DVD on the same controller as your harddrive (would really kill your performance)
