Reboot when spooling large docs

Ok. I can'y figure out why XP is rebooting my buddies laptop when he prints large (maybe 9 meg or 120 page acrobat file) whie spooling them. If I set it for print directly to printer, no problem. Is there a problem spooling large files, a buffer not big enough? He's printing to a Brother 7050 with 32 megs 'o ram in it.....running XP Home I think.....
