Hello, welcome to my first virus nightmare courtesy of a friend who is an idiot. I am kinda stuck right now. I am able to get onto the internet. However, everything else on my laptop is way messed up. There is the tool bar on the bottom, but no start menu area. If I hold the cursor over where the quick launch buttons, they show up (only way for me to get on the internet) but other than that, I cannot do much. I can also navigate through the one folder I keep on my laptop but I don't know enough to use that to help my situation. I started looking through the advice you give people to get started...ie, hijack this...however it appears that I cannot download anything. This has pretty much stymied anything I can do. Is there anything that can help me?

Tried to see if I had any reply and realized that I must have clicked on the wrong forum in my anger induced haze. I will repost in the malware area if anyone reads this. Sorry for the inconvenience.
