Wireless problems

at school my labtop shows an excellent connection to the schools wireless network, but i cant connect to the internet. i have been on the network for a year now. but when i go home i can connect to my wireless network is fine. the school says its one of my settings, and they can't figure it out, well they dont really care. but could someone please help me.
