Hi All :

I have had a problem with Hot mail too.

In web mail use or in the case of local client outlook express ...
(another $19.95 for integrating the OE/IM local client on Windows, you must pay to use the client locally now..)

I was getting odd stumbles after .NET sign on and with little else to mention no warning or dialogs popping up, the sign-in appears to be acceprted and then deliveres a blank white page that has the lock for ssl and in lower left a "done" indicates the page has been served complete.

Baffled, I began to fiddle and i found how to fix it but not why it was occuring .CONTENT ADVISOR:

I had never engage content advisor but saw what i consider anomolous files strings in the registry values around mail IMAP, etc., ending like:

(pure fictional example)...software\OE\ %1,-4337,

The only thing I knew of the advisor strings, was an ending with a minus some number so I turned it on. Content advisor now on I go to hotmail.com through the sign on and this time got the following dialog err message :

Err dialog: The rating label on this page is invalid. "vz lz oz cz ) "http://www.rsac.org/...atingsv01.html" l gen true for "http://cb2.msn.com" r (n s v l ))" is not recognized or is not the right format. You may want to notify the owner of this site.

In this situation I was able to then disengage the content advisor I had never turned on in the first place and was able to see the page in Hotmail or the new mail download to my pc.

I quit using this hotmail six months for not being able to figure it. It happened on multiple pc's and i have had email accounts compromised so until I find out otherwise I will treat it as an malicious act. If I have just been chasing myself that is information I really need too.

I hope it helps, let us know .
Regards,
j
