You need to logon to the router. To do this type 192.168.1.1 in to the addressbar of Internet Explorer or Firefox. You will need a password to login to the router. Most default passwords are admin. Then you need to go to the Firewall/Applications Settings, and open the port 7171. If you have trouble doing this then post back with the make and model number of the router. Hope that this helps.

Page cannot be Displayed.

Someone said I have a Router because I got AOL 9.0 and AOL Broadband.

I have got 2 Computers but they are not setup to the Internet at the same time, We have to transfer the Cables around.

Does that mean I have a Router?

LOL, Sorry I'm only 13.

Its most likley that you only have a modem. A router allows many user to use the broadband connection at one time. But I dont know if AOL will allow you to use one. Do you have to logon to AOL Broadband with a user name and password??

From what you stated in the last post:

I have got 2 Computers but they are not setup to the Internet at the same time, We have to transfer the Cables around.

It sounds like you dont have a router. Who is you current ISP(the company that gives you access to the internet)??

Do you have to use the AOL Broswer or can you use other ones(Internet Explorer, Firefox). If you can only use AOLs then you can still by a router and hook it up to the network. But in order for the other computers to access the internet you would have to have one of the computers always logon to the AOL broswer, and with ICS enabled on that computer. Hope that this helps.

Ok, Do you know how to allow Ports?

I need to Allow Ports 7171 so people can access my Server.

I think it's my Firewall that is stopping it and Plus do you think I have a Router?

Do you have Service Pack 2 installed?? With the information that I have, I believe that you dont have a router. I would like you to run something for me:

Start -> Run -> Type cmd -> Type ipconfig

You will get a window with this information:
----------------------------------------------------------
Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]

Post back with the IP Address.

Right-click on My Computer -> Properties

It will state what service pack that you have installed.

You should upgrad to Service Pack 2. Here is the link:

http://www.microsoft...&displaylang=en

I would download and install the it as soon as possible. Since it will allow you to download the most latest packs from Microsoft. Download and after the install post back, and I will help you finish at that point.
