I'm on BT Broadband 2Mbps using IE7Beta (and firefox)

I've noticed it slowing down. I've run all possible spyware and adware scans (Ad-Aware SE, Spyware Doctor, Anti-Spyware Beta 1.0, Spybot) and they all show up blank. The only programs connected to the internet are Steam (which isnt downloading anything) and xfire (again nothing being downloaded).

Any suggestion as to what's going on? :tazz:

Cheers

I have the same problem. I have download programs open as well, and i feel that after i close them the internet is faster. Sometimes the odd restart of the computer helps as well. It's slow right now. Last time it was slow, we rang up blue yonder and they said that the network had an error, so that could also be a possibility. Anyway, good luck with getting it fast again, and i think im gonna follow some of the advise given on here as well! My internet needs it!

from what you are discribing here it looks as if your computer is infected. No worries just go to the Malware forum and they'll fix you up as good as new. When posting in the malware forum please enter a Hijackthis log and be sure to read the following URL then post and someone will get to you as soon as possible.
