Hello, for the past 3 weeks I have literally been locked out of all my files. When I try to open them, I get the dr watson postmortem message and nothing opens. I know I need to do hijackthis, I downloaded it, made a copy of logfile under safe mode, but I can't open up the copy. Can someone, please, please,PLEASE, help me, i beg of you. I have some important files I need to get off my computer for college, and im almost out of time. If someone would be so kind as how to step by step make a logfile so i can post it on here and get additional help, i would REALLY appreciate it! Thanks so much for your time!

I am having the same problem. You should be able to open your files by using your web browser, ie. File/Open File. Even though you can get to them Dr. Watson may still prevent them from openning. If this doesn't work, reboot in "Safe Mode" F8 or F5, depending on you Computer model. Once in safe mode open Hijack This (if it is Zipped) and save/create a shortcut to the Desktop. Once the shortcut is on the destop you can run the program in normal mode. Once you do this, follow the instructions of the System Administrators here on the forum.

Good luck.
