Hi all i have got myself a new PC and i am selling my old PC,myself and my wife have used the old one for online banking and to store all our important numbers what is the best way to wipe my PC clean as i have heard that just reformatting dose not clean it completely, and anyone who knows what to do can still get your details from it, thanks for any help.

You will not erase data to a point where it is non recoverable, depending on who is doing the looking

However, you can do a reasonable job with Boot and Nuke, or remove the drive, fit a new one and then sell the PC

The option which takes longest is the more thorough
