Ijust built a new Abit An8 with a 3500+, 1 gig of pny and a 6600 gt 128 video card. Worked great the first few days. I was going to give my old parts to my brother-inlaw but when they did not work we scrapped the idea. Today though I pulled the new parts from my case and rechecked them. nothing happened.Funny thing is I am now having the exact same problem we encountered during the swap with my new parts. All connections are good and the digital readout on the abit post display comes on along with the other lights on the MB. There is just one catch though, that is all that happens. No beeps, no fans cpu or otherwise and no HD kick on. Any suggestions. Like I said all went well till I rebuilt the system.
