I recently repaired a Dell laptop for a co-worker that was infected with over 50 viruses and even more spwyare/malware instances. It also appeared as if his mouse was going bad. Whenever I tried to double-click anything it would not open. I would have to right click and choose open from the menu. I checked all his mouse settings and confirmed they were right. To be sure I matched them to my settings. When I returned the laptop he reported the problem and said it hadn't happened before. We have tried several other optical/ball/wireless mice and they all do the same thing. Does anyone have ANY idea what would cause this?? I am baffled!! Thanks for any help you can provide. :tazz:
