I have been infected with urllogic pop-ups that neither SpyBot nor Adaware can successfully remove. Also sometimes I get a Dr. Watson error. I've never used Hijackthis before so any assistance to help would be appreciated. :tazz:

Welcome to geekstogo lsu1000

First download LSPFix by clicking here:
http://www.snapfiles...get/lspfix.html

Please, make sure that all IE browser windows and internet connections are closed. Run the program (LSPFix) and click the "I know what I'm doing" box. Highlite all instances of dolsp.dll and aklsp.dll and move them to the "Remove" side and click finish. Don't remove anything else there.

Please set your system to show all files; see here for how to do this if you're unsure.

Press Control-Alt-Del to enter the Task Manager.
Click on the Processes tab and end the following processes:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\wkgirg.exe

Exit the Task Manager when finished

Close all programs down, leaving only HijackThis running.
Place a check against the following items:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Windows AdStatus] C:\Program Files\Windows AdStatus\WinStat.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [lxamsp32.exe] lxamsp32.exe

Click on Fix Checked and exit HijackThis.

Reboot into Safe Mode: see here if you don't know how to do this.

Using Windows Explorer, locate the following files/folders, and delete them:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\wkgirg.exe
C:\Program Files\Windows AdStatus\WinStat.exe
lxamsp32.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\lnlmnfnr5.exe (file missing)

Exit Explorer, and reboot as normal afterwards.

Post back a fresh HijackThis log and we'll take another look.

when I open the task manager, the wkgirg file only stays up for a split second under processes so I can't select it and delete it. Thus, I cannot delete it from explorer b/c it says it's in use.

1. Download the Pocket Killbox.
2. Unzip the contents of KillBox.zip to a convenient location.
3. Double-click on KillBox.exe.
4. Click "Replace on Reboot" and check the "Use Dummy" box.
5. Paste this file into the top "Full Path of File to Delete" box.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\wkgirg.exe

6. Click the "Delete File" button which looks like a stop sign.
7. Click "Yes" at the Replace on Reboot prompt.
close killbox

Reboot

Hi there,

Close all programs down, leaving only HijackThis running.
Place a check against the following items:

O16 - DPF: {94B82441-A413-4E43-8422-D49930E69764} -

Click on Fix Checked and exit HijackThis.

Reboot into Safe Mode: see here if you don't know how to do this.

Using Windows Explorer, locate the following files/folders, and delete them:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users.WINDOWS\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\hniuti.exe

Exit Explorer, and reboot as normal afterwards.

3. Double-click on KillBox.exe.
4. Click "Replace on Reboot" and check the "Use Dummy" box.
5. Paste this file into the top "Full Path of File to Delete" box.

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users.WINDOWS\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\hniuti.exe

6. Click the "Delete File" button which looks like a stop sign.
7. Click "Yes" at the Replace on Reboot prompt.
close killbox

Reboot

Post back a fresh HijackThis log and we'll take another look.
