Hello, I have an HP Paviliondv1074ea with harman kardon built in speakers. Yesterday, the right speaker of my laptop stopped working. When I am plugging the headphones again only the right speaker is not working. I was experimenting with a text to speech software that day. I tried and installed the drivers of my sound card again but nothing happend. Sound quality is good is just that my right speaker/and headphone is not working. I would appreciate if anyone could help me how to deal with the problem.

Thank you for your help

Welcome to G2G kikoman

It's worth checking first that you haven't somehow manager to mute the right channel in the audio settings (e.g adjusting the balance all the way to the left will do this).

If that all checks out, then it sounds like you've blown the right channel on the sound card. In which case, you're not going to be able to fix it I'm afraid (unless your laptop is still under warranty of course).

You're very welcome. I'm glad it was just the balance control that needed adjusting. :tazz:
