Please right click this LINK, choose SAVE LINK AS or SAVE TARGET AS, and save it somewhere on your computer where you will remember where it is located. Then find the file on your computer and double-click it to run it. Click YES to the warning: Are you sure you want to add the information in FILE LOCATION HERE\restorerecyclebin.reg to the registry? Then reboot your computer and see if the recycle bin is back.

Glad it's back! :tazz: Can you please tell us what method worked for you so that others can learn from this as well?

Thanks,

Would just like to say Thank you to Fenor. I haven't had a Recycle bin on my desk top for ???..couldn't find it in Programs, Control panel, anywhere..(wasn't even sure where to look for it!..I'm not very computer literate as you can tell!) But I found your site..Geeks to Go.. whilst browsing something else and saw the advice of Fenor about clicking on the link (as below)

(I must say I was a bit apprehensive.. I never know if I'm really on a genuine site or I'm about to downlaod a virus!)..but lo and behold it worked and the Recycle Bin icon was back on my desk top! When I opened it there was loads of rubbish which I have now deleted..it feels great! Thank you
