I'm glad that happened...I just ran across some information that states we shouldn't use that driver with the E-Machine...
E-Machines use the WinXP drivers for this drive.
Uninstall the drivers as I suggested, then uninstall the DVD_ROM in Device Manager and reboot. This will reinstall BOTH the device and the drivers.

USMCSniper...
Open Control Panel and double-click on Add Hardware. Click "Next" (the screen may flash a time or two while it searched...this is normal) Tick the button next to "Yes, I have already connected the hardware". Select the DVD drive from the list and click "Next" (if it's not listed, select "Add a new hardware device") Click "Next" again to let the Wizard search for the device.
Believe it or not, this is what we wanted...

If the Wizard doesn't find the device, click "Back" and we'll use the select it from a list option.
Use the Beretta...I'll bring the Browning riot gun to the party!

Good Morning, USMCSniper...
Good, the divice has been installed...now the drivers.
Open My Computer and righ-click on the DVD drive...choose "Properties". Under the "Hardware" tab, select the DVD from the list and click the "Properties" button. Under the "Driver" tab, click the "Update Driver" button.
Follow the default settings in the Wizard...if it fails to find the drivers, we'll go get them manually.
I've got to be on the range for a few hours this morning, but will check back as soon as I return.
