Can you download these and save them to a folder you create in my documents, when you have, return to device manager, right click an entry in display adapters, click remove, confirm, remove all entries, confirm then reboot, run disc clean up then install the drivers from the folder

Download them to a folder then remove the display adapters and when you reboot, windows will re-install them, then you can install from the folder

i tried updating the driver from device manager but it just updates it by itself and doesn't ask if i would want to download to a different folder. i tried looking again from NVIDIA website for my specific driver but all i can see is the same link as you've asked me to download a while ago. should i download that again to my documents?

Don't use device manager to update it, remove the display adapters from device manager, reboot and click the set up file from the folder you downloaded them to
