Cant get computer to post

I cant get the computer to post, nothing comes up on the monitor, cant get to the bios either, but the fans are running. As it says i tried everything the guide said to try, i took them all out and put them on cardboard, still no luck. I cant figure out what to do? should i send the mobo back? heres my specs:
asus a8n-sli deluxe
amd 3200+ venice (stock cooling)
xfx geforce 6800gs
1 gb patriot ram 2-3-2-5
500w power supply
250 gb seagate sata 150mb/s hdd
