Ok...

This might be a bit touchy...if this starts a Recovery function, cancel out by pressing Esc or opening the cd tray.

Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete to restart.

At the options screen, choose the option to Start with CD-ROM Support...it should be the default selection. If it is not, use the arrow keys to select it and press Enter. If it starts the setup, we'll be ok...if the recovery options starts, post back. It will plainly tell you if it is a recovery operation... :tazz:

It says "the diagnostic tools were succesfully loaded to drive D

then:

Drive E:=Driver mscd001 unit 0

Do you have the cd in the cd-rom drive?

I'm sorry...yes there is an A:\ prompt...I must be tired.

99% complete

mssg poped up stating the amount of free space on drive C is being reported incorectly & it's asking me if I want to fix it, don't fix it, or more info

now says drive C had errors, but they were fixed
drive D had no errors
my choices now are to view log or exit
