i have some problems and was wandering if anyone could help ????

PROBLEM 1

I can not get autorun to work. i have checked the properties and they are all fine. i have updated the drivers and they are the most current and i have checked the registry and still it not work please help...

PROBLEM 2

i have a partitioned drive C and D. when ever i want to open my d drive, about 30 seconds later i get the following message

Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

I have also had a similar message but it says DrWatson instead of Windows Explorer.

The other error is Data Execution Prevention windows explorer


i have tried several forums, my anti virus is upto date, windows updates are up to date. i thought it may have been a corrupt file. but it isnt as far as i can see. i use registry machanic 5 i have followed your malware removal http://www.geekstogo...?showtopic=2852

i am rather fustrated as i have been contemplating a full reinstall of wondows xp but i DONT WANT TO LOOSE MY DATA

PLEASE HELP ME SOMEONE

For problem one, do you mean autoplay (insert cd, nothing happens) ?
If so, download this:

For two:

After it says " Data Execution Prevention windows explore" it should state something below it, naming a particular application. Does it?

with auto run yes its when i insert cd, will try link and keep ya posted

it has now got 2 options CHANGE SETTINGS and CLOSE MESSAGE

Change settings is a new optin since i posted original....
