someone shoot me NOW!!!

I use a laptop and I happen to be both a student and sick, and guess who tripped on a text book and got some water splashed on his keyboard....I reinterate....SHOOT ME NOW!!!

Xp loads no problem, though I can't type up anything, the keyboard refuses to type. Yet, the system thinks that the keyboard is working. I have rebooted several times, Dried it out as best I can, am completely lost and stressed....WHAT DO I DO?

Hi
welcome to geekstogo
I am not sure what it will do but it not a good thing I would not power it up until your sure no water got inside where it could short something out I would do my best to try to dry it out you could try using a hair drier on low heat to dry the water up but be careful heat is not a good thing for a laptop too. if the keuboard will still not tpye then it will need to be replaced.
