Hello, I recently purchased a Scythe Ninja
http://www.newegg.co...N82E16835185122

With a Panaflo 120mm fan
http://www.newegg.co...N82E16835180081

The problem is, when I recieved my package yesterday, the fan was too thick so I had to bend the fan clips to make it fit to the heatsink.

My question, is it safe for me to do that? I'd just like to make sure :tazz:

I won't be able to install the new heatsink until my new mobo comes in the package today so I'd like to know while I wait.

as long as the fan stays attatched reliably the clips don't really matter...you could cut them off and glue the thing to the heatsink if you wanted to...bad idea...but it would still work...so...basically yeah...the clips are irrelevant as long as the fan stays attatched
